      Reports to: Managing Director

We are recruiting for an experienced Business Development Representative to join a specialist composite reinforcement manufacturer based in Bahrain.

This is a commercially focused international role with an initial emphasis on developing and expanding business across the European composites market.

The successful candidate will ideally come from a composite reinforcement manufacturer or direct competitor environment, with strong commercial experience selling reinforcement materials and an established understanding of the European composites industry.

The position will involve a combination of managing selected existing customer relationships and developing new accounts, although the primary focus will be on new business development, market penetration and long-term commercial growth.

      The Role

You will be responsible for identifying, developing and converting new commercial opportunities across Europe, working closely with customers operating across a broad range of composite applications and manufacturing processes.

      Key responsibilities will include:

      • Identifying and developing new customers across the European composites market
      • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified commercial opportunities
      • Developing long-term relationships with composite manufacturers, processors and end users
      • Managing and growing selected existing customer accounts
      • Understanding customer technical requirements and identifying appropriate reinforcement solutions
      • Conducting technical and commercial meetings with customers
      • Supporting product trials, commercialisation and new application development
      • Developing market-entry and account-development strategies across key European territories
      • Monitoring market activity, competitor developments and emerging composite applications
      • Preparing commercial proposals, forecasts and business development reports
      • Attending customer meetings, exhibitions, industry events and technical conferences
      • Working closely with technical, manufacturing and senior management teams
      • Travelling frequently throughout Europe in support of customer development and sales activity

      Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within a composite reinforcement manufacturer, technical textile producer or closely related composites materials business.

Direct commercial experience selling composite reinforcement materials is strongly preferred.

      Relevant product backgrounds may include:

      • Glass fibre reinforcements
      • Carbon fibre reinforcements
      • Woven and stitched fabrics
      • Multiaxial reinforcements
      • Technical textiles
      • Chopped strand and continuous fibre products
      • Reinforcement products used within infusion, RTM or pultrusion applications

Candidates from adjacent composite material sectors may also be considered, including:

      • Resins
      • Prepreg
      • Fibres
      • Core materials
      • Other specialist composite materials

However, candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of the composites industry, manufacturing processes, applications and customer requirements.

      Essential Requirements

      • Proven sales or business development experience within the composites industry
      • Strong preference for direct experience selling composite reinforcement materials
      • Good technical understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes
      • Demonstrable success in developing new business and winning new customers
      • Experience working across international markets
      • Strong knowledge of the European composites market
      • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
      • Comfortable operating independently and developing new territories
      • Willingness and ability to travel frequently throughout Europe
      • Fluent professional English

      The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join an established specialist composites manufacturer at a stage of continued international growth.

The role offers considerable autonomy and will suit an energetic, commercially driven individual who enjoys opening new markets, developing strategic customer relationships and working closely with technically demanding composite applications.

The initial priority will be Europe, with the successful candidate playing a key role in strengthening existing relationships while significantly expanding the company’s customer base across the region.

Package: BHD 3,500–4,000 per month fully inclusive, plus an annual return air ticket to the employee’s home country.
